So I changed my oil today and I noticed my oil pan looks like it is slightly leaking. What should I do? Don't you have to pull the engine to get the oil pan off because of everything in the way? I don't have the equipment to do that myself.

Is it dripping? Or kinda just slowly pooling on the indent on the bolts?

I would just spray it down with some brake cleaner and tighten the bolts that you can reach a smidge.

Once you try and tighten the bolts, if it is still leaking then no, you don't have to pull the motor to change the gasket. You will however need to remove the motor mounts and jack the engine up some to clear everything. You may also have to remove the oil pickup tube inside the pan once you get it loose, depending on how high you jack the engine up. I did it on my 00 GT and it wan't too difficult, just time consuming.

I had mine fixed from the dealer, it was still covered under warranty. They had to drop the whole front craddle. I kno urs is an 01. I'd def. Recommend that you use a good gasket maker instead of a gasket. It seems after all these yrs they still didnt get it right. You only wana do this once. Good luck,

Its more of a pooling on the bolts and the side of the pan has oil on it. But no dripping. So ill try to tighten the bolts I can get too and Ill go from there if it is still leaking ill probably ask more question on how you jacked it up. Thanks
