Ok my newest problem seems to be trans related and why not, I alerady replaced the engine a couple weeks after I bought it. At highway speeds is when it really starts acting up. If I give it just a slight amount of gas (just enough to adjust to the speed of traffic) it starts surging. I can watch and feel the rpm go up and down about 200-300 rpm. If I give it enough gas to downshift it will downshift and act fine in the lower gear. At first I was thinking clutches or tcc lock up solenoid. Now if I am sitting still with the car in drive and give it just a little bit of gas you can feel it want to pull like normal however, if I give it a little more gas and raise the rpms to 2000 I get a solid clunk as if I had just shifted from neutral to drive (remember the car is already in drive and started to want to pull when given some gas). The other thing I noticed is that when I am stopped and in drive I get an occasional rattle from up front somewhere. I am starting to think maybe it is the torque converter itself. The guy I bought it from rebuilt it a few months prior to me buying it. I saw pics of the tear down and have the receipts from triple edge. Any thoughts on what this could be. I was hoping not to have to tear everything apart again untill my other engine was built. Thanks in advance everyone.
