    Hi my names Steve,

I've owned a 1997 Grand Prix GTP since 1997 (bought brand new) recently i let my friend mess with my wiring, and its all messed up. So ill get to the point. Basically what i am asking is,

what years of Pontiac Grand Prix GTP's will fit my car other than 1997??? lets say i found a 1998 grand prix GTP would those parts fit mine?]

I wanted to buy a complete parts car and just use parts off this to install the new electrical plug ins etc from that parts car into mine to make sure its all good.

please let me know which other years would fit my (1997 Pontiac Grand prix GTP)

all parts 97-03 will work. however, your car is a little different. if you do swap over parts you should take the wiring harness and PCM from the donor car (if its not a 97).

Well basically all i really wanted from the (donor car) would be the wiring harnesses for all the electrical things... the rest of the car well it would be worthless to me because mines in great shape besides that stuff, although i could probably use the hood if it was one of the vented hoods anyhow...

but thanks for letting me know!

just buy a harness, morad sells them, and he'll most likely have it for your year car, why buy a whole car just for a harness...seems like a waste to me.

morad ?? well true, it would be a waste because its the only thing i need, i would like to have the whole dash unit, the plastic housing and the electric harness for everything behind the dash that has to deal with my speedometer, the pod (for fuel ratio/voltage) and radio

From a hard parts perspective any year 97-03ish would work. From the important part ...electrical you need a 97.

What's the problem with the car, maybe some of us can help out w/o you needing a new harness.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Well i made a thread a few weeks back about the whole electrical problem.... basically my speedometer stopped working as well as my pod set (fuel ratio/voltage ratio) the wiring in my cars a bit messed up, if i knew where to connect the wires directly, or to where they would work how they should, id appreciate that! =)

Not exactly sure, but it seems like there just is no power going to the gauges, or to my speedometer lighting, just figuring out where to connect the wires but no body seems to know 0_o

too bad you werent closer since i am parting out a 97. i am sure there has got to be a wiring diagram out there somewhere. you might even be able to get a diagram from alldata.
