People using braided line

I was just reading last months copy of popular hot rodding, and they had a story on adding a fuel sump. Seems they found braided fuel line is not very compatible with pump gas, and will deteriorate within 3 years, the recommend the push lock type hose (which I think is the aeroquip socketless) as it will last 10 years. Just want to let you know, and get a confirmation on the aeroquip

I haven't heard that either and I just bought a $100 worth of hose too and they told me it was rated for whatever I throw at it (which is nothing). If that ain't true i'm kicking someones ass...

I did some more reseach on this. the 10% Ethynol additive within the fuel is not good for the rubber hoses.....

race fuel, or straight gasoline with no additives dont harm them.....

still it takes a long time for it to eat away at the lines if used on the street......

I plan on using them for a long time

My stock lines have rusted through in 6 years, I'd rather just use the hose that can be easily replaced(almost all AN fittings are reusable)

wow I never had a fuel line failure on a car like that, even my truck which spent the first 140k miles of it's life, and has sat in the woods since hurricane Ivan came through hasn't rusted out
