Junkyards sell batteries, sometimes you can find one that's pretty new cause somebody was throwing parts at a car to fix other problems. Can't hurt to look and you can get em for like $10.

Ya no go on the junkyard thing. im not going to go through that hassle I'd rather just go buy one that I know is working and hasn't had the tar kicked out of it. any other ideas? should I get high cca? would that help that battery last longer? I don't want to have to deal with this again while in college

I prefer ac delco and interstate batteries. Delcos have up to a 7 year warrenty. 3 year free replacement, 7 year like 50% of the cost is covered. I have a interstate mega tron II in my grand am and it works well.
