I just got this car about 2 months ago. It has a problem but it isnt all the time.
When it acts up The boost screen goes out, the rear defrost dont work, the heat only works on #5 setting, if you have the auto lights it will kick off the headlights if your on any setting but #5 or off. The boost screen sometimes will light up really dim if the heat is on #5 or off. When it doesnt act up it will work fine. All the heat settings, the lights, the screen everything.

Anyone run into this problem before I start printing out a bunch of wiring diagrams and fishing one wire at a time.

One of two things come to mind.

    1. Ignition switch
    2. Blower resistor module.

Though with what you describe I would lean more to the ignition switch as I do not think the resistor module has anything to do with the DIC screen, headlights and so on, but I believe the ignition switch does.

It has something to do with the acc. wire. I went out and it was still acting up so I remote started it and everything worked. Put key in and shut down remote start and it stopped working. So I will check it out this week to see if it is the switch itself or wiring from it.

Thanks for the quick help to isolate the problem.

If it is the switch, check for BackInBlack's ignition saver modification. It will help prevent that issue in the future.

^^I realize a stock L36 is not as fast as the sticker implies, but this sticker has worked and it is still a hell of a lot of fun to drive considering it's a grocery sedan.
