Hey guys, I have a pretty annoying exhaust leak...It's right after the cat, where my u-bend delete connects to the resonator...We had it up on the lift at Meinike and there is not enough room to cut the rusty flange out and weld up a new one. It looks like I am going to need a new resonator, should I just go for a stock GM replacement one, or something else...I'm not too smart when it comes to exhaust, all of my friends have screaming loud trucks, and thats cool, but I live in a very quiet neighborhood and that wouldn't go over well...Is there something that would be an upgrade for me, the quietest way possible? Or is it just go loud or go home

It's all about personal preference. To MANY guys on here it sounds terrible with a res delete. You could either replace the resonator with oem part or put a glasspack in its place.

A Regal resonator is nothing more than a glass pack with a flange welded on it.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

If I did do a glasspack, what should I expect. The whole system is stock, and like I said before, I want it to be mellow if any difference in tone, I just didn't know if putting something besides a GM replacement would give me better flow or performance....I would have never planned on doing any exhaust upgrades, but I mean now that I need some new parts, if there is a way to keep it sort of quiet and make it a little better at the same time then I would give it a shot.
