I have a 2000 grand prix gt that the drivers side seat belt guide has broken off under the headrest. I tried to do a search but evidently I'm not using the proper name. Does anyone know where this can be bought besides a local junkyard and the right name?

Also I'm not sure how it comes off. looks like the headrest may come out by somehow pressing on the little covers attacked to the seat or popping them out? then maybe that piece bolts to the bottom of the headrest?

    Thanks

    Larry

How do you actually get the seatbelt guide over the tabs on the headrest? Or do the posts come out of the head rest? If so how? I also still need to find a new guide, my driver side is busted.

I just got one from the junkyard the other day. I took headrest off, unscrewed it from the seat put the headrest on a piece of cardboard and I pulled up a couple times with my foot in the headrest hole to hold it down. It came right off after a few pulls. Then to get it back on I used a drill to widen the hole a bit on the side with the perfectly round hole. Then I put the side with the wider hole onto the headrest got it over the tab, the twisted the guide over and pushed it down onto the other post. Screwed it back on and it worked perfectly. I can post the pics I took if you want, might make it easier to understand that way. Lol

This makes sense, I'll do the same, thanks! Now I just have to find the part, I did see they have a 2001 Grand Prix at my local LKQ, I may try to head over there. Waiting to see if Parts Lady will respond for a few more days.
