yesterday i noticed my passenger side foglight was out when i had them on, drivers side was still on, so i turned them off then back on, passenger side came on, then went off again a few minutes later, i repeated the process once or twice then just left em off. then today to do a test, i just went out to the car and turned on the fogs, and in less then 5 minutes, the passenger side fog went out, and u could tell that the ballast wasnt working, because i couldnt hear the little buzzing that you can hear when u turn it on. so i turned the fogs of and on again, and this time, i left em on for over 20 minutes, and it stayed on the whole time. im thinking maybe just a faulty ballast, but being that the passenger fog one is the hardest of the 4 to get at(where i have it anyway) i dont wanna replace it if i dont have to. any one have any tips?

Dont want to jack the thread, but I was searching through vvme, and could only find a 9007 kit for the headlight, nothing for the fogs.

What kit are you guy using for the fogs...

    Thanks.

You could always try switching the bulbs around and see if it does the same thing. If it does the same thing on the same side with the bulbs switched, then it's probably your ballast. But if the problem switches to the driver side, then it's the bulb.

Oh btw, 9007 is for the headlights, not the fogs..

well, i was about to get on vvme and tell em to send me a new ballast, but i went out to test it again this morning and neither fogs would turn on because the fuse had blown (fuse 35 in the engine box), but the strange thing is, they were on last nite, and when i turned em off, the fuse didnt blow, and it didnt blow when i turned em on this morning, cuz i didnt hear it and i was standing right there lisenting while my wife flipped the switch. so somehow it blew itself or i am just incredibly deaf, every other time i have heard a fuse blow, its been pretty clear so i dunno. anyway, replaced the fuse, turned em on, the passenger one went off a couple times after about less then five minutes, but ever since about 10 am we've been driving around and it has stayed on. this thing is HAUNTED!!!!!!!! its not a ground issue with the switch, cuz that would blow the fuse instantly, or at least take out both fogs.

a bad ground wouldnt blow the fuse it would just work like it is now, also sometimes each ballast is grounded seperatly. If the fuse is blowin you got what you paid for rice crap, get some oem ballast and a diff harness bro
