About a month ago I installed some new ballasts for my HIDs (Keep in mind I have the relay and wiring straight to the battery). When I turned them on I kept hearing a sound weird sound coming from the front of the car (Might have been the ballasts or might have been something else). Needless to say I decided not to use those ballasts. From then on I started to have two problems.

    1. My A/C and lower control buttons only light up when I have the parking or headlights on NOT when I just have the DRLs on. I can't see if I have the A/C, rear defrost ect. buttons on while the DRLs are on. The buttons wont light up although they will when I have the headlights or parking lights on.

    2. My airbag light keeps coming on and off randomly while I driving. I read the code and its B0041 (LF side deployment loop open.)

--I tried reinstalling my original PCM with nothing changed. Could this be a bad DRL relay causing a short or would it more than likely be the BCM is bad?

Maybe when you installed the ballasts a fuse or two blew. Check out your fuse boxes.

Checked all the fuses and nothing has blown. Plus the A/C controls light up but not when the DRLs are on? I might try and replace the DRL relay but am open to suggestions. I don't think the DRL relay could be setting the Airbag light though.

Hrm, only other thing I can think of is to check for a bad ground.

Well the two issues were coincidence because I fixed the airbag problem. It was the connector under the seat. The wires going into the yellow connector were loose I wiggled it around to see if it was the problem and sure enough it was. Now I am still trying to figure out the climate controls. I bought some relays, installed them and nothing changed. The only thing I can think to do next is replace the climate controls and see if that works. I checked the grounds and even checked the grounding strap that is under the airbox (now a K&N CAI) and they look good.

pull your fuse box and make sure nothing got hot on the back of it. sounds like you have some wires touching together behind the fusebox.
