first off around 2 weeks ago my boost gauge stopped working, yesterday while i was driving around town my check engine light came on and my car was started shifting at 4000rpms to second gear when i was city driving. it sounded like my car was whistling, at first i thought it was a vac leak. a few minutes later while i was at a stop light my car just started to lose power my battery light and temp light came on after that my steering felt like it locked up and became very hard to turn. i eased off the road and shut my car off i started it back up, but again it started to lose power and then stalled on me it felt like. i had to give it gas while i was stopped so it wouldnt go under. i have a 98 gtp and i've heard that they have electrical issues as of right now i have no idea what to do and i thought id come to you guys for some help

im not sure, but it doesnt sound like the boost gauge is related to the car dying.

what kinda voltage are you producing (can you rule out the alternator)?

yeah, solve your vacuum leak before you do anything else.
