I have a 2002 Grand Prix 3.8L non-supercharged. I am trying to flush the radiator. I found the drain plug but it looks different than the replacement plugs seen on the internet. Does this plug require a special tool?

Looking through older posts, it appears that I should just flush through the lower hose and not to bother with the drain plug. Spent over an hour trying to open the plug so just very curious.

    Thanks!

    drain via lower rad hose.

get a 5/8's tee and some heater hose and hook it inline with your heater hose and fill with garden hose.

Makes for a nice quick flush.

Run it till the water is completely clear when coming out.
