help with egr

my check engine light comes on i got a diagnostics and it throws a p1404 code could i delete my egr to solve this problem? and what are the positives and negatives of the egr delete. Ive done research and some people say its worth it and some people say its bad. please help

you need to tune it out, and hope you can pass any emissions testing you may or may not have.

i have a EGR ill sell ya if ya want... i did delete cuz of header leak. it works fine.
