i've installed a zzp poly trans mount, zzp poly dog bone mounts, and 1.5 inch shorter dog bones. i know to expect more vibration due to the poly mounts but this is different and started about two months after installing these parts. it starts at about 58 and continues to about 67 and is violent enough to shake the whole car pretty bad. its worst at full throttle but it can be felt even just cruising between those speeds. does anybody know what could cause this? could it be that i still have the stock motor mount?

I would say it is ether an out of balance wheel or a bad CV joint.

i know it isn't a wheel because it did it with the stock 16's and still does it with the spiffy new 18's. i will check out the cv joint though thanks for the input

it's the flywheel on an automatic. connects the crankshaft to the torque converter. i dont know how common this would be though unless somebody has been in the tranny

this is what happened exactly in my 72 charger. it shook like i mofo between 46-58mph. then one day i was starting it up to go back home and pop bang bang rattle rattle rattle....nothing. i blew up the starter gear due to the flex plate cracking all the way around. that was a good day...not! that car is long gone, but still if anyone has these issues and its NOT what was listed above (mounts and what not) its probably interal. be safe and get it checked!

definitely get it checked. when i brought my car in it had gotten to the point that the welds on the torque converter had all cracked from the flex plate moving back and forth. went from an 800 dollar job to a 1400 dollar job because of that
