Gonna be installing a Plog this week and was just curious, the dip stick look like it needs to be moved to install it. I havent looked a whole lot into it yet. Any suggestions?

Some people have installed the plog without removing the dipstick. I don't know why you wouldn't, takes all of 30 seconds and putting it back is it pretty easy. Just use a flashlight if you need to see the hole better when you reinstall the dipstick tube.

Pretty much, there is a bolt that holds it on one of the exhaust manifold studs, but you take that off and it will just pull out. A little twist and pull at the same time and it should come out.

Make sure you check the condition of the o-ring after you remove the dipstick. The key to reistalling is watching where it comes out. The first time I didn't pay attention and it took me a bit to spot the hole when reinstalling.

fwiw I've installed a plog on two different cars and can't imagine doing it without remoing the dipstick.

Do I need to torque bolts down on the Plog a certain amount or just hand tight?
