gen v pcv fix....HELP PLEASE

ok this is the issue im having....the pcv nipple on the back of the genv is creating a suction.....the nipple on the l67 tb is also creating a suction....

ive seen write ups that say connect the one on the genv to the tb to fix it and block off the evap connection on the blower, mine is jb'd shut.

i had no idea pcv wasnt functional until i heard a loud whistling when driving and when i tried to pop off the oil cap it had a suction (at this time both nipples were vac capped.) when i remove the genv cap and leave the tb capped i get no oilcap suction or loud whistling/squealing. here are pics below about what im talking about.....could the pcv just be bad? weird thing is i drove with both capped for awhile with no squealing or whistling but i just fixed a leaky front valve cover today and the gasket was bad so maybe it was escaping there and preventing whistle....pcv has free play when shook and the plastic shaftgoes in then pcv valve then spring and cap.....cant figure it out.

bump for some answers. should the genv fitting be having a vacuum or blowing out because it has a vacuum.

AFAIK the nipple on the back of the gen v is a vent. Mine is plumbed into my intake just before the throttle body

Your PCV valve isn't sealing then...

to be quite honest, i dont know how the pcv system works in these cars with blowers.

the nipple on the TB should have vacuum, how else would it operate the other devices off of it?

the nipple on the gen v also has vac when its supposed to be a vent.....theoretically i should be able to connect the genv and tb nipple and be fine but it screams when i do this.

Sorry, I'll correct myself. By vent I mean an air inlet vent. It is there to suck air in. The reason it's plumbed into the air duct before the throttle body is to draw in clean filtered air.

ok guys figured it out i drilled and tapped the brass fitting on the bottom of the tb and jb welded a fitting in the hole and ran a hose from the gen v nipple to the new fitting problem solved!
