yeah, dude these motors are true beasts, still on the factory lim gaskets, and the kid who had it didn't keep up with any maintenance besides oil changes. The exhaust wreaked of coolant, and when i pop'd off the oil cap, i got a huge whiff of coolant/oil mix. Trans still runs strong too, i had to drive the car 20 minutes, i wasn't being easy with it either.
well my first 3800 made it one month i got it with 156K on it and the kid who had it before me had ran it over a post sign and i dont think he kept up the maintenance. it needed a LIM job the day we looked at it so who knows how long he drove it with coolant in it. but we changed it and done the oil change but i ended up with a rod knocking.
but in all seriousness, 3800s are awesome IF you keep up the maintenance they'll go forever.replace the cheap stuff with quality and it's great.
but i just got another 3800 in my GP with 113k on it and cranked it up first time yesterday so fingers crossed
Title should say.
