Hi there, I am new to this forum and I am hoping someone can give me some ideas as to how to fix this issue. I have a 2001 Grand Prix 3100 V6. I would like to use my auxillary power outlet in order to charge my phone/ipod. It uses a 15 amp mini fuse. When I go to replace the fuse, it sparks and shorts out the fuse.
Any ideas on what to do? Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks again.

you have a short in the system. inspect all the wires that are linked to that fuse.

The wires are def. grounding out somewhere time to take apart the harness wrap and search
There is no replacement for displacement........unless you have a supercharger or turbo

2000 Bright Red GTP Coupe GXP axle back, GMPP sway bar, NGK TR6, 180 stat. (Uninstalled Aeroforce Interceptor, DHP PCM, FWI, Gen V on the way) and still no pulley in sight.

Thanks! My next question is how do you remove the panel? I can remove the ashtray to search that one, but the auxillary power outlet I am not sure how to remove it. I did figure it was a short, but just wanted to ask the experts!

The dealer uses a special tool, it has little rabbit ears on it that spread out, and help pull that thing out.

You can use a screwdriver, it you are really careful, and keep prying away at the thing, it will come out.

Worst case, you break the little plastic clips off the end, and need a new one.
