What he said.... Also clean the MAF (don't touch it) with some QD electrical contact cleaner, which can be found at Home Depot

I was hoping that was 1/2 a tank, but seems like more........but I'm in the process of a tune-up/fix

can't you just ground pin 21 (blue) on the PCM.... totally going of the top of my head. Did it like 3 years ago...... * researching*
