Parents car is a year older, nearly three times the mileage and the exhaust is still there and still has most of its rust coating.
Lesson: Galvanization/ no coating = no catback in 8 years.

you want another stock catback. youre going to hate having a loud exhaust if you go with an aftermarket stainless unit. no lies.
my stock system had holes in it and my mufflers had nothing in them, didnt mind the sound all that much.
I might try the dynomax system and see how that works out.
How can one be certain that the rust on the exhaust is due to salt, and not the moisture/condensation naturally found in the exhaust system?
Because the body is rusting just as much?
^^^^ southern cars are generally worth more because the body does not lose any weight as chunks of rust fall off!!!
You guys know nothing about salt. Try Buffalo. My rockers under both sides were rotted out to the frame on the underside and the fenders near each front wheel. I lucky new a cheap welder. Ill post pictures later when i scan them onto my P.C . We have large crystally chunks of salt into late March sometimes early April depending on the lake effect snow that takes into place off enormous Lake Erie.
