There really isn't much to it at all. There are two screws in the door panel behind the plugs near the handle. They're a torx head. Pull the panel off, then and unplug all wiring harnesses. There are four bolts holding the regulator in and three holding the motor in. The ones that need to be removed have holes and the ones that can just be loose are slotted. There are two screws up attached to the window glass as well. They can be a challenge to get to. Don't buy a cheap regulator. Spend the extra $ on a good one. The cheap ones are JUNK.

those 2 bolts holding the window on the regulator are a breeze to get to if the window is rolled about halfway down

other then that, i couldnt have said it better. it really is not that hard of a job, and this is not a part you wanna go cheap (ebay) on.

are you sure it's the regulator and the switch isn't just dirty?

i thought my regulator was bad, but turns out it was dirty as sh*t. took apart the switch, cleaned and works like new now.

for some reason both my car and a buddy of mine had a similiar problem and both came out to be a missing bolt. seems they didnt crank down one of th etwo bolts enouph at the factory and they tend to just come out. at least thats my guess as its a far fetched coincidence that two cars came up with the same problem out of nowhere. check and make sure both bolts r in and tight

I seem to remember A1Cardone. It's been a few months, but I've dealt with their parts before and they seem to have good quality parts.

GM Pontiac Grand Prix GTP Power Window Motor & Regulator Picture Illustrated Repair Guide - Page 2 of 4

here you go, write up on how to replace regulator and motor although its easier to just try it by guessing. took me 1 hour to switch out the regulator and motor and then back again because it turns out wasnt the problem

If its not the switch and its not the regulator/motor. What else could it be that causes the window to not respond 50% of the time when you press the upswitch? Very rarely as well the window will go down by itself and the motor seems to click and tick sometimes...

I've tried the cleaning the switch job and ive tested with a brand new regulator/motor

    I cant figure it out
