Was wondering if there was a way around the second o2 sensor. like maybe plugging in some resisters instead of that $60 fix from zzp .... anyone kno anything about these? if so what would i need to fix it? thx

if youve got a tuner you can set the code to no report in the PCM and it will never pop up again. otherwise if you cant do that you need an emulator. a resistor does not emulate the o2 signals because the o2 signal is not static.

just replace the rear o2 sensor, that is your cheapest option. removing the cat will give you zero gains in performance, so if you already did that then kudos to you.

it'll make your car run horribly if you don't fix it, and cause other stuff to go bad. you wouldn't have to go to zzp for it, go to autozone or some parts place to get it. pick up a can of PB Blaster and make an afternoon out of it

I have the emulator in mine and it works fine. I had a lean code until I put in the emulator in.

For those of you using an emulator, did you move the wiring to the rear 02 up into the engine bay and mount the emulator there or can you just plug it in underneath. I figured the heat from the exhaust might damage the emulator...

I saw a write-up on how to build an O2 emulator somewhere when I did a google search. You just need to buy about $6 worth of stuff from radioshack and get to soldering.

if youre talking about a resistor setup, that doesnt work. the signal from the sensor is a WAVE, not LINEAR.

they used more than just resistors... I can't remember exactly what it consisted of. There is a writeup out there somewhere, Im just to lazy to find it again lol. But they said it worked.

It might work if you put a bung on the pipe, then a 1-2" extension from that bung and screw in the rear 02 to that. The idea is that it still sees enough exhaust to function, but does not throw a code because it is not placed in a free-flowing section.

a spark plug fouler works fine in mine, no ses lights on, no cat...$5 at the local autozone. take the fouler ( you get 2 in the package) and drill one out with a 1/2" bit, screw the 02 into it, then screw the o2 and drilled out fouler into the other non drilled fouler that came in the package. then screw into pipe..
