will the SES light reset just by disconnecting the neg battery cable for 15-20mins? i had to change my 02 sensor and i pulled the neg cable for like 30mins but the light still came on when i re started, only had it running for maybe 2-3mins to pull it off the ramps but the light was still on as soon as i started the car. do i need to drive it for a bit for it to go out or...? thought usually the neg cable did the trick??

thats what i thought.. it may of only been like 10 min i had it pulled for, im doing it again for a full 30mins to see. is there any exact time frame it needs to be disconected for? shouldnt it clear any codes no matter what doing this and they would just come back on within so many miles if the problem isnt corrected? thanks!

If the problem causing the SES light is fixed, it should go out within 100 miles of driving. Have it checked with an OBDII scanner and see if the code is still pending. If so, the problem is still there.
