    which cars came with LQ4 mafs? anything i can find in a yard?

    00 Silvermist GTP
    E85|GenV|3.2|#65's|1.95 YT RR w/105's|Pacesetters|N*/LQ4|PRJ rewire/255lph
    13.2 @ 104. No Cam No IC.

    LQ4 maf's only came in the ls series of the gm trucks 99-2006. You can find them at salvage yards just look for the trucks with a 6.0 engine.

    They are the same ,the difference being the meter inlet in 6.0 is larger than the typical ls1 meter.Slp sells there upgraded maf sensor for ls1's as a recalibrated 6.0 mass sensor.Hence the 6.0 meter flows alot more than the stock ls1.

    But it does flow significantly more than the typical ls1.A stock ls1 75mm meter flows at765 cfm and the 85mm flows at 849 cfm. Thats an increase of 84 cfm with screens!

    true, a larger size could flow more. but you can only flow as much as the smallest part in the equation, the throttle body.

    the sensors in the ls serious mafs can read a high air flow rate tho, im not sure what it is in cfm's but im pretty sure its more than enough for a heavily moded gtp.

    either maf should be plenty.

    Max cfm that the ls maf can flow is around 804 cfm from what i have gotten on the flow bench. The 85mm is said to be able to flow an excess of 895cfm, but the most i have seen so far is 855cfm due to it exceeding the flow bench capabilities.

    my bad, i did not mean cfms of what the actual physical unit could flow due to size, i ment what the sensors can read, its alot higher than a gtp maf and could read the air of a heavily moded gtp with out problem.

    Hmmm, maybe ill look at my local yard, I'm still running the stock maf with my N*
