How do you release fuel pressure on a 97 GT? I'm about to do a LIM gasket and read i need to depressurize the fuel rail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You dont need to. Leave the rail connected to fuel lines unbolt it and move it over to where the air box sat.

Or if you want to pull your fuel pump fuse then start your car.

After it dies, try to start it for another 3 seconds then stop. Should be depressurized.

I prefer to just press the schroeder valve on the front of the fuel rail. Wrap a rag around it and press it with a screwdriver.

As 01GTP said, though, you really don't need to for a LIM job.

Or I just hold a rag under the fuel line when I disconnect it and leave it pressurized.
