Do you think i could run a 3.5 Pulley with little or no knock/ 2006 Grand Prix GT

    I have the following mods:
    SSAC Headers
    Open cone intake
    180 Tstat
    Autolite 104
and will get a custom tune afterwards. Im running the 3.6 right now but i want more power hah

the difference between a 3.6 and 3.5 is pretty negligable. i would stick with the 3.6 and raise timing.

how much boost do you see now??

with intake, headers (no cat) 1.8 rockers and 3.5 i see about 6psi on the intial hit then creeps up to about 10psi around 5500rpm.

you MIGHT see a pound of boost difference your set up going from the 3.6 to 3.5. like bio said throw more timing at it.

thats gonna be hard since with a tune he can run more boost. if he goes stage 2 then youre going to need more.

an intercooler is the best bang for the buck by far, but most people dont want to drop that amount of coin right away. an intercooled car with a downpipe will run a 3.2 pulley or lower and will haul ass compared to stock.

sweeettt, that is definitely the next investment then. I'll run it like this for this summer, but over the winter i will put an IC in there. If i found a used one is it worth buying? or is it a part that you should just get new?

used ones usually work fine so long as they didnt do anything stupid to them. the only thing youll maybe have to do is change the core, but usually they are good.
