Currently I own an 04 impala. Love it and have done a few modifications (ZZP DP, Exhaust, FWI, tstat) I've always wanted to do more to the car but its my DD and whether it be work or school I rely on this car 7 days a week, so going deeper into modification is just not an option.

I have been toying with the idea of a project car. I am NOT a mechanic, I just love cars, can read and follow instruction and like to get my hands dirty. I was looking into purchasing a 2003 GP GTP, setting up in my garage, well parents garage , and getting my hands dirty with this beautiful money pit.

My question is, would this be worth it? There is 173,000 km's on the engine and the car has been installed with an SD ram air hood. I dont know who owned it before me, but I can take a wild stab and guess that they ripped on it mostlikely ....the car runs fine and is from a local "trusted" dealership....anyone out there taken on alittle project like this?

Blunt Honest answers are greatly appreciated!

    Thanks

heyy! welcome! honestly its totally your call. it just really depends on how badly you want to do it and if you are willing to commit to it ya know. project cars are a lot of fun but they are also a lot of work and you most def gotta have some moola to spend on it lol.

Sell the hood then the car. Buy a F-Body if you want power and fun.

You can pick 2 of those in any combination but you cant have all three

These cars are pretty easy to mod and work on though

mileage isn't bad, but a better car for modding is a GT.

High compression block will make more power if you're using an M90 which is the stock blower.

Unless of course you're going to go for a larger blower or a turbo, then the L67 block is probably a better choice.

Should be able to find one for cheaper than that.
