i have an aftermarket one, but i had the car for 3 months with out any fob because the factory ones never worked for me, besides an interior button is supposed to be easliy accesible IMO. its just a pain

A little humor to add to the thread. It's quite common for trunk releases to be in gloveboxes on American cars. I buy a Bonneville and it's on the door. And there's a switch in the trunk to disable the door button. Right..you spend more time popping the trunk to fix that f'n button than anything else.

Fast forward a couple years I buy a 97 Regal.... there is literally no button. One was never put in on the 97 and 98 Regals. Eff that, I added the sucker.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

What key is supposed to fit the trunk? We just got my car and the only key he had to the car was the main key which works the door and ignition fine. He also had another key on the ring but it doesn't fit anything on the car from what I can see. None of the keys I have for the car fit the trunk
Thank God for the button in the glove box right now.

nah...it's got a normal gas cap, no lock.

i'm also wondering what key fits the lock on the glove box as well as the lock on the passage from backseat to trunk.

Sounds like a previous owner had the car rekeyed at some point... I think some rental companies do that before selling the car. That lock may have gotten missed... that sucks ya'll .

Aware this is old post but FYI there is a master key and a valet key. valet key will not open glovebox, trunk, or trunk access.
