So this problem just started occuring about a month ago and its pretty annoying actually.

When the car is cold powersteering works fine at any speed. Once it warms up the powersteering does not want to work at idle, if I give it the slightest gas it works without a problem. Its just at idle.

The rack was replaced about 20k ago, the pump about 25k ago. I thought it was a tensioner and belt so I replaced both, but still the same issue.

Tonight im going to flush the system, but if that doesn't correct the issue where would you go from there?

Is your car a GTP? I had a bad super charger coupler and it actually made the steering very stiff in idle just as you describe.

it also doesnt make any sense that a blower coupler would cause hard steering.

what is your car idling at? too low to give the PS pump enough RPMs?
