I feel the need for some motivation and feedback as I work on the shopping list for my car. Obviously this is incomplete, and i would like some input too.

    Exhaust
    SSAC Headers-$350
    High Flow cat- $60
    Header Wrap- $10
    Exhaust Manifold Gaskets- $15
    Some brand mufflers- $200

    Cam
    S1X Cam- $325
    LS6 Springs and Retainers- $100
Timing Chain (looking for some advice here)
    Re-usable Rocker Bolts- $20
    Intense Cam Install kit- $90

    Tune
    Intense tune- $200

    Pulley
Pretty much clueless here. probably a 3.4

if you want your exhaust to be louder and growlier (if thats a word), but still smooth. Youll LOVE those mufflers.

i want something with a really low deep tone. i'm a flowmaster guy, but on a GP they sound a little too high for me. I do love borla though.

start with a 3.4 pulley until you get it all done and scan the crap out of it
I have zero kr as of now and im on stock dp and manifolds
im guessing you will be safe at 3.2 make sure to get a mps

Im on a stock timing chain new of course no issues yet
    borlas are sweet

High flow catr isnt nessasary but why not since your already throwing money at it
I would do a new oil pump aswell since teh front cover will be off

He wont be able to get to a 3.2 with those mods lol.

    he's got a Gen V.

Get the cat only if you're worried about roadside inspection or an emissions test. Otherwise its just a waste of money.

    Get the stock timing replacement.

OR get a double roller but have the crank gear machined. That means extra downtime for your car, but a stronger chain.

alright well my deal with this now is thats about $1600 to spend. of course i want to do it right so i'm not gonna cut too many corners, but in all reality i need to save wherever i can. remember, i'm a college kid looking for some fun. if it comes down to the end of the summer i'll just do a tune, headers and drop to a 3.6. Of course i really want that cam.

was gonna do the crow cams 105 but the LS6 will be good. No doubt I will have a cat, just gotta decide if its worth 60 bucks plus 30 bucks to get it welded.

Exhaust all good here, id run a 2.5" high flow cat, but that's what i had and i enjoyed it.
    SSAC Headers-$350
High Flow cat (is this necessary?)- $60
    Header Wrap- $10
    Exhaust Manifold Gaskets- $15
    Some brand mufflers- $200

Cam you know me, double roller all the way. some dont believe in it due to how many failures, but i like to think once i install it CORRECTLY then i never have to touch it again (but i will since rebuilds are necessary on a performance car).
    S1X Cam- $325
    LS6 Springs and Retainers- $100
Timing Chain (looking for some advice here)
    Re-usable Rocker Bolts- $20
    Intense Cam Install kit- $90

Tune meh, for me to do it again id just go ahead and buy hptuners.
    Intense tune- $200

Pulley good call. id buy another, though. something like a 3.2...ish
Pretty much clueless here. probably a 3.4

    see above. done.
