Def cannot not get your hands behind any dash unless your about 5" high. I've removed lots of different dash's. Take your time and look around. After removing screws pull slightly. Thet all (newer cars) have pressure clips.

Just pulled my guages today, temp gauge not working. Took about 30 min and just need 1/4" rachet set. 30 min included the gauges.

Just pulled my dash and gauges today. Took about 30min with a 1/4" rachet set. You need to pull off the shifter handle and console cover. There are 2 screws below the radio then that cover pulls off, there is one screw behind it that you need to remove to get the guage cover off. Once you pull the cover you need to disconnect the cig lighter. The cluster cover pulls off from the top adown then out at the botto. There is a black pastic trim held on by 2 screws. The guages just come off w/some small screws My temp gauge is stuck on hot. My 1990 88 is a lot harder. Need to remove entire dash. Entire ! Might as well change the shifter and ash tray bulbs at the same time whose harness you need to remove before removing it.
