What size pulley and how extensive would you have to mod the car I know the pully drops and everything I would assume a 2.8 on slicks or so someone let me know.
There is no replacement for displacement........unless you have a supercharger or turbo

2000 Bright Red GTP Coupe GXP axle back, GMPP sway bar, NGK TR6, 180 stat. (Uninstalled Aeroforce Interceptor, DHP PCM, FWI, Gen V on the way) and still no pulley in sight.

    13.99999:

3.4(ish) pulley setup and the driver mod

    12.99999:

a full size intercooler w/ whatever pulley you can run, rockers, headers, and a driver mod

however, this isnt typical at all. usually to run 12s people need a cam setup or more because they either cant drive or arent willing to buy sticky tires (slicks). there are also about 1000 different combinations you can do in order to make power. e85 is a great trick for good power on the cheap.

youre kidding, right? put some 105 or 110 in the car and drop a pulley just so you can say you did it.

I am more interested about 12's like what supporting mods minimal and what whp. Just curious if people ever did this on a stock trans. Thanks for the replies

    you would need:
    Headers
    Rockers
    E-85
    Meth maybe
    Tune
    Small pulley
    Sticky tires

Trans would hold for a while slicks would kill it quick tho.

honestly from what ive noticed people usually break into the 12s when they reach the 300 whp area. some people who are better can do it on 280, others need 330. being able to launch our cars really is the art of it all.

how you want to go about that has a ton of variables.

I just wanted a daily driven 12's sec gtp obviously with reliablilty. I have a dhp ecu, gonna do fenderwell intake, headers and dp, a vs cam, e85, and maybe if I can find a cheap intercooler. Hopefully that will put me there

You need some DR's or some slicks and learn how to launch it I think you will be happy afterwords

Really just cam setup and tune, or rocker intercooler setup and tune. The tune is the biggest part, if they know what they are doing in the tune and you know what you are doing mechanically. Especially if you want to keep it a daily driver.

FYI, I went 13.4 @ 102 back in early 08 with pump gas, street tires, full int. w/ tire & jack, 3.4", XP, Headers, Base DHP tune with raised shift points and the P0300 code turned off, stock TB, Ported S/C, Stock trans, 3" FWI, MSD Wires/Coils/AL103's, 160*, with a 2.05 60'. Probably could have hit 12's with a ported TB, custom tune, higher octane and a 3.2"...never have gone back since though...what made me mad is I didn't run much faster...I had the same mods but instead of the cam/headers...I had 1.84 Rollers and PEM's and a 3" DP...went 13.85 @ 99...with a 1.89 60'...driver mod makes a lot of it.

You have all of that stuff and are on a 3.4 still? I only have headers, 180* tstat, AL104's, Poly Mounts, Full Custom Catback, Ported SC, Ported TB, and Custom Tune. I run a 3.25 pulley with minimal 1.4* kr but I'm pretty sure a new tune will kill the KR.

Fastest i ran before the Headers, Ported TB, and Ported SC was 14.1 @ 98mph.

Come Spring i'm taking all of the dead weight out of the trunk for a few passes. I just gotta label all of my stereo wires so i know where to put them back at.
