I'm getting things together to do the gtp engine swap into my gtp. I puchased the ebay headers and don't want them to leak. I want to tig weld the joints where I can, and still get them off. Which joints can I weld, and still get apart? Thanks

you can do the downpipe to the collector too, but its such a pain in the ass to get the header in from the bottom of the car.

I did get the speed daddy kit. I'm planning on having them on when I install the engine/trans. (from under the car) I'm swapping the trans, engine, and subframe into my car. So, just use a clamp on front header and crosspipe, and weld the rest? You guys use band clamps? If so, where did you purchase them? stainless?

one more thing I was thinking.... What problems would I run into if I welded the hole shut in the rear header feeding the egr valve?

nothing would happen except it would force you to do an EGR delete. i had no EGR on my car and it ran great and still got good mileage.

Buying my speed daddy headers this upcoming Friday. Hopefully they will help with my KR issues. Guess we'll see.

DONT WELD THE CROSSOVER TO THE REAR HEADER! I clamped mine together like this and you CANNOT get them in as one piece. dont worry about welding, just clamp and rtv the piss out of them.
