well i picked up this baby for $400 because of a BAD missfire and it stalled when you turned on the signal

so i fixed the stalling problem by cleaning the ignition switch, and hopefully i will fix the miss with a new set of delco plugs and wires, i pulled out a plug and it was pretty nasty (car was driven without the supercharger belt for several months)

the car came with brand new tires, it has leather, HUD, CD, and about 317kms.

so like i said, im doing a tune up tomorrow, then next week it will go to GM so they can change the valve cover gaskets under the recall, i will also buy 2 bottles of supercharger oil and change that.

i got a question about my idle, once the car is warm and i am at a stop light the RPMs are at about 1200, and if i put it in neutral they go up to near 2000, what would cause this? i was thinking i should clean the idle air control and the throttle body

i will get better pics tomorrow

Looks like not a bad deal. Did you check on the rocker panels and rear strut towers to see how they're holding up? You may need to do some new gaskets on the top end of the engine if it's never been done (LIM, UIM, fuel injector O ring, and valve cover gaskets). Let us know how it goes.

Nice deal, I am kinda jealous . Anyways LIM is the Lower Intake Manifold. You will need to get those done, if it hasn't been done. I didn't even know mines were bad until I had a mechanic look at them. You dont have UIM (Upper Intake Manifold) because of the supercharger (if I'm wrong someone correct me lol).

yes and no lol the supercharger is the upper intake manifold... but there is still a gasket we just call it a supercharger gasket instead of an UIM gasket...

That's true. I should have said SC gasket instead of UIM. My mistake.

    its a 1998, 317kms,

after the tuneup it runs SO much better, idles a little high because a vacume line is broken (thin hard plastic one), going to fix it tomorrow.

im sure when i take it to GM they will tell me all the problems.

sorry i couldn't get pics, i didnt have any time once i was finished the plugs i had to go to work and now its dark again

i dont know why people say its so hard to do the tune up, im only 17 and me and my buddy got it done in 2 hours, ( we had pizza in that time to)

It's typical dry rot...so...its got 200K on it? get rid of the U-Bend though...and flip the motor mounts...make things a little easier on the main lower engine/tranny mounts and get better performance/mpg's/less KR with the U-Bend gone.

Might be coilbrackets, Sparkplug wires or the sparkplugs or a Bad battery, Starter, Alternator

as general maintance i would recommend spending about 240$ for the nice preformance MSD coils & wires and getting Bosche 4+ Platinum sparkplugs

And get a Cold Air intake once you get it running right.

then its beastly and ready for other stuff

XPZ, Alum heads,150#, I/C, GEN V mps 3.0, N* TB CAI K&N fully built trans, JE pistons, L32 rods, Comp lifters, PRJ Fuel rails, 65# Injectors, elec pump, MSD wires, MSD coils, Alum control arms, AGX, vogtland, GMPP sway bars, rear trailing arms
