I'm still looking for suitable mufflers to put on the GTP this May (ish). I have nixed the idea of the Aero Turbines and the Aerochanbers. I'm looking at Magnaflows and Force now. I perused YouTube last night until 4am checking out all of the 3800's and their different exhausts. Be it the sound quality of the particular videos, or whatever, I have decided that I like the Magnaflows and the Force mufflers. now my question is what do you guys prefer? I'm going for value and quality. Specifically, I'd like to get rid of most of the rasp on decel and have a nice noticeable tone. Hit me with your best suggestions!!

I am going with glass packs. Loud and Proud I would go with flowmasters but they cost to much (90's)for me and the glass packs are only 20ish a piece.

I second Ryan on this one. I have them on my GTX, they have no resonator and surprisingly it is not as loud as I thought. Only old 98 GT I had the stock catback with Magnaflows mufflers and the droan was really annoying.

The SLP's give you a nice sound while not sacrificing interior noise caused by some mufflers. And they are rather affrodable as compared to the Borla's or Corsa's out there in regards to a full catback system.

Stock because a V6 sounds like crap. Don't kid yourself either. What you hear on the inside sounds even worse to those outside. I like a loud exhaust on an engine that can produce a good sound. A V6 is way closer to a 4 cylinder in sound than it is to a V8. Farty and blatty. especially on excelleration or higher RPMs.

Summits welded muffs are flowmaster 40 series knock offs.

Performancepeddler on Ebay had muffs for cheap. I think they are under $50 a piece. I got mine from him a couple of years ago and they were $32 each.

They look interesting, but how do they sound is the question. I would kinda perfer to see them in SS as compared to aluminized steel though.

Me I got the Borla catback system for my 00GTP and never regretted it. I wasn't really impressed with magnaflow, flowmasters, and glass packs, I just didn't like the sound.

Borla = Expensive >> The Money I Have.

I had someone here locally suggest Spin Techs. Any experience with or knowledge of those?

I agree 100%.This is why I have held off on buying an exhaust system. I dont want the blatty, farty sound. reminds me of a car with a loose or missing pipe. IMHO Sounds borderline RICER.
I want a deeper sound, throaty sound. Is there any exhaust that is louder than the stock but not with that rattling vibrating noise?
No offense to those who like this, just not my preference. I've always had big V8s and dont like the sounds of our aftermarket systems I have heard so far.

Soundclip? I havent heard anyone with the Borla yet. I have had an eye on that kit but wanted to hear it on a car first.

I just bought the Summit fully welded 2 1/2 offset inlet/2 1/2 center outlets for 35 each and I was VERY pleased with how they sound. I had Dynomax Super Turbo's before. To be perfectly honest, I needed to replace them due to holes in the mufflers and it sounded like butt, so I went the cheap way out for the time being.

I am so pleased with these that I may upgrade them to the Stainless Steel model (they are about 65 each) in the near future.

I had the dynomax on my bravada, and was not pleased with the quality (mine rusted out within 2 years and were supposed to be stainless)

It will get quieter with a tip on. LOL. Right now it is exiting onto the bumper causing some nice bass sound effect.
