    Everything you said is pretty common. Maybe besides the crossover part, some get problems, some don't.

    You gotta pound the tunnel out with a hammer before install.

    Yeah that's what I did. Then I forgot about it when I jacked the motor up to install mount spacers and I crushed and cross threaded the O2 sensor, which was a whole other nightmare. But I guess I won't make that mistake again.

    04+ is harder to do the install on in my experience.
    98 GTP modded 1.9's, sd headers, 3.4", zzp 1.0 230K miles scrapped.
    04 Comp G zzp stb's, UMI ta's, Speedbuilt sways, bully flo heads, XP, zzp headers, fsic, thrasher shift kit, 60#, 2.6" corsa 2.5", Inferno hood
    01 gt z7 turbo tep trans zzp motor
    08 g8 gt cam exhaust 11.87@118

    Reading through this sticky and got alot of good info. Here is where I currently am sitting: Transmission is out and torn down. Installed new rear main and oil pan gasket as well as seeping p/s pressure line. I feel like I am at a good stage to do a header upgrade. What would you header gurus recommend? Not really planning on major HP increase. Thinking intercooler, 3.4 pulley, headers, PCM tune. I plan on having the headers and DP ceramic coated so I will need to do a mock up before sending the parts down for coating. Advise and ideas?
