Could be a wheel speed sensor. What size wheels and tires do you have on it?

    ^^^ What he said x2.

Even if you have stock rims, make sure you have stock tire sizes... one size bigger will make your speedometer reads 1-2 mphs slower....

well i have stock rims and michelin hydro edge tires which are the correct size. i bought the car a little while ago and just noticed it now. this may sound stupid but is there wheel speed sensors per wheel or is it one for the tranny?

First off.. what year is your GTP?

The VSS feeds the pcm which feeds the speedo and HUD. Does your HUD correspond to the speedo? And please list the tire size on the car.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
