My SRS airbag light came on after my battery died completly.... In the morning when trying to start it up, it didn't. the battery was completly dead, later on the road, my SRS airbag light turned on followed by check engine. I have been told that a bad battery can cause the SRS light to come on becuase the battery is not suppling enough volts to the system. The autozone guy told me that the battery is bad after he tested it, he said that the batter was not sending the right volts. Ok so after I replaced the battery, my check engine light went off but my SRS airbag stayed on! Have any of you had this problem before? I know I'm supposed to take it to the dealer and have it checked, but with this crisis? haha no money. If the bad battery caused the SRS light to came on how do I turn it off or I should wait few days until turns itself off?

I would unplug the negative battery terminal for awhile and see if that resets it first off. If it doesn't go off right away then drive it for a few days and see if it clears itself. You might check online and see if there is a reset procedure for the SRS system but most cars don't have one. The last resort would be to take it to a dealership OR take out your airbag module and send it to myairbags.com and have it cleared. There could possibly be a code in the module itself. i've had modules cleared by these guys and they work fine. That would be my last resort because as long as nothing is messed up with the system it should reset itself and you're going to spend 100 at the dealership or 49 sending your module in.

Hope this helps. Let me know.

Thank you for trying to help yes, I have unplugged the battery and it didn't reset it, I've been driving for few days and the light still on. I've been looking on the web for info about this and I have only found that I need to take it a dealer to check whats going on and/or reset the code. But, with today's economy that is not a good choice because I'm broke lol so, I guess if I have no choice I'm going to drive this car like this, I don't like it but oh well I'll take a look at myairbags.com page
