Okk so i just attempted my intake on my 06 GTP and i ran into a problem. The IAT is not just a clip in anymore but an actual harness that is a complete section of the tube.... how do i connect it into my intake. Right now i just used the old tube with the flexible rubber pipe as well but that makes half of my intake 3" and half 4".

Well, hard to say 100%. Imo that thing is the MAF not the IAT, again I‘m not sure of this.
Regardless, to my knowledge the only CAI that will work (straight up bolt on) with an 06 is the Wizaired series 3 option. People have made all kinds of crazy stuff “work”, I hope someone can give you more help.

Thank you for those pictures! So as far as I can tell that wire harness I'm talking about doesn't matter? And like you said ceric, it would be the MAF.
If that's the case I just plug that little nipple in and the tie the harness off somewhere?

Oh alright, I need both pieces then. Ok so how did you do yours?
Right now like I said earlier I just used that stock black pipe with the MAF and connected it in with my coupling

i bought one of the rubber 90* 3" plumbing joints, cut it at a little less than 45*, then bought some of the plastic intake tubes from o'reilly's, cut off about an inch and a half, left the lip, and wedged it into the cut off side of the bend (make sure to sand off allllll shavings) and used that between the intake and MAF. but i'm running the short ram.

the reason you need the plastic piece on the inside is because the rubber won't stay mounted in the coupling, it needs something more solid to grip so the plastic tube acts as a reinforcement. good luck

the biggest bend you want is a 22.5* bend. that is all you need.

I put it all together last night, I bought a 3-3 coupling for the throttle body, connected the MAF into the other end, then I put the 3-4 coupling onto that and connected my filter with PVC.
Its all straight and the tip of the filter touches the fenderwell. It whines like crazy lol
