Hey guys so I have my FWI made up an installed, but the roof flashing I was planning on using, just wont work, due to that fact I am not willing to cut into my fender bracket. I am trying to fab up something for a heat shield. I've hit a road block an have run out of ideas? Anyone have any ideas?

P.S. Here are some pics to give you a better idea what i'm up against.

Why did you use pipe end pieces instead of an elbow and a straight piece?

Well, if you go onto Jeg's or JCWhitney you can order some heat shielding and cut it to fit. It comes in sheets.

But to be 100% honest with you... that cone is no where near as deep into the fenderwell for it to be considered a true FWI. Get rid of all the end piping and make yourself a CAI box if thats what you want to do. Either that, or push that filter out further than that, or put a 45º so you can go further into the well. if you do put that heat shielding around it, gains will be minimal.
    For all your 3800 needs:

When you mentioned as long as you optimize flow, FWI= 3.8-3.4 and everything under, TB.

So if you plan on modding seriously, TB.

I only plan to go to a 3.4 setup, which will take about until spring till all the money is together for the headers an tuning, an such.

leave your intake right there. the bend you need to get to get into the fender will make you lose power.
