What's up everyone. Well I know I'm pretty smart when it comes to workin on cars. Always done my own work from exhaust welding to body work. Its hard to tell what would or wouldn't work on our cars byreading a website. So I've made a small list of things I found that iwould like to do to my gtp. The mods I have on it are in my sig. If anyone has somethin different to add feel free. Thanks for lookin.

Alternator underdrive pulley? I guess this would work but in my experience the effect is nominal at best
Nitrous-like a Zex kit. I wasn't sure about this one. I've also heard a lot about water injection. Thoughts?
Ported throttle body-now I can understand the benefits. Just don't know if our cars actually do benefit from it
Ported s/c-ive heard a lot of people say its worth while. And I think I could get it done farely cheap
Really good tune-i don't even really need to ask about this one. I KNOW its gonna happen
Roller rockers-i know I want rollers,I just don't want 1.9 or anythig because of my shift points
12" brake upgrade-this one I can't wait to do. I hate seeing those tiny stock rotors behind my 18's. Plus the extra stopping power couldn't hurt
Strut tower brace?-is it even worth it?
Lowering kit-for both the looks and the lower center of gravity

Anyway, anybody have any thoughts? Opinions?

get a meth kit, or intercool it if you want to go faster. of course the custom tune is key...

Well the only problem with intercooler is I can't afford one right now. I'd love to have one. In my opinion, any forced induction application should be intercooled. What do the meth kits go for price wise?

you can get an AEM methanol kit with a 1 gallon tank which is more than enough for about $380. very well worth it you can get alot of power out of a methanol injected gtp.

What exactly is involved in a meth kit? Would it be something I would wanna do on my 3.4 setup?

it wouldnt be necessary at that point, but it basically does the same thing as an intercooler, just different ways to get there. It would however allow you to run a smaller pulley with the same mods as you would have for your 3.4.......This is all assuming that you have a good way of getting a custom tune for your vehicle

I would go with a devils own kit that is what I run. No complaints at all.

Right on. Well, that is a bunch cheaper then an intercooler. Anything else? I'm not plannin on ever diggin into the motor past the rockers. Just my preference. I've been thinkin a lot lately about gettin a custom tune. Or should I wait till I do other mods, then get it tuned?

I've heard about those underdrive pulleys before, what do they do?

Nitrous/meth - nitrous = easiest power maker and cheapest, ever. meth injection only works so well compared to an intercooler
Ported throttle body- doesnt really benefit until you are way into the pullies, like 3.0 area. its best to save your money on this or port your stocker
Ported s/c- once again, only benefits when you are far into the pullies
    Really good tune- duh?
Roller rockers- if youre getting rollers and have no plans of getting a cam then for sure get the 1.9s or 1.95s.
12" brake upgrade- good choice. its cheap and works well
Strut tower brace?- worth it? sure. worth the money to pay for good ones? no
Lowering kit- how low do you want to go? they take decently to lowering, but too low and youll get some acceleration vibrations that you cant solve. i would recommend B&G or eibach if you want a fairly steep drop. vogtland springs for a light drop.

Anyway, anybody have any thoughts? Opinions?
see the quote above. i answered it all.

Nice. Thanks bio. I kinda figured it was that way with p&p stuff. Guess ill just wait till I get smaller pullies for that stuff. I might just end up doin my own trottle body porting. My favorite upgrade on this list is the intercooler. I would really like to have a full core 'cooler. Just kinda expensive. I like the idea of meth injection, cus it sounds beneficial. I'm sure my next upgrade though will be either a good tune by someone here in KC, or the 12" brake upgrade. Both are cheap, and both would help a lot just in opposite ways. Anyway, thanks for the reponses and I hope more people reply.

if you can port it by yourself then go for it. any little bit helps, but if youre going to pay for a ported throttle body or blower then its NOT worth it.

Ah so your sayin that whatever small gain I see from it would only be worth it if I did the work myself. I got ya. Well, I've got the tools, and I've done porting jobs before. Maybe ill give it a shot. I moght even check out that tb spacer. See of I can't gasket match that too.
