I have noticed on my 3800 K engine N/A that on occasion, I have smelled raw fuel somewhere. When I poked around, if I push on the joint where the plastic line connects to the metal line at the back of the engine, a few drops of fuel come out. I assume there is some kind of O ring or gasket at the junction. My question is: how do I get the 2 lines apart to check it?

Thanks for any help on this.

push in the clip parts and pull out the plastic line. there should be o-rings in there that you can replace and hopefully it will solve your problem. replacing the injector o-rings at the same time wouldnt be a bad idea.

    Thanks for the info.
Do I need any special tools to do this, or can I push the clips in by hand?

    Thanks again.
When inserting the new "O" rings, do they go in "dry" or do I lubricate them first with oil or silicone or something?

i always just spit on them a little so they went in smoother. you probably could use some form of lube, but i never wanted to pay for things i didnt need.

Use a little oil or fuel... The issue may even be the clear plastic clip that joins the two together.
