so this i where i have a nice hole in my exhaust. monroe wants almost 700 bucks to replace the cat back HA. trying to find somewhere that will just fix that part. but theres other spots on the exhaust thats gettin pretty rusty. i found a place around here that sells stainless steel tubing, $13/ft for 2.5in. in not sure how much i would need for the cat back...but is this a good route to go? or should i just try to get it patched up? thanks

Well, IMHO if you want to patch it, use a $5 “Muffler and Tail Pipe Repair Kit” and do it yourself.

Your picture looks like your on borrowed time, so I would make plans to get a new exhaust soon. I would personally look into a local shop; usually they can do it better and cheaper. But you always have to compare apples to apples. If Monroe is asking $700 out the door for a performance SS exhaust, that ain’t bad in my book. An SLP Performance Exhaust un-installed runs $550 for our cars, just for comparison. Good luck.

Ten years of continuous driving excitement and counting!
