It wasn't about girls..which is why your name was mentioned :th_thumbsup-wink:
You know you drive a GP when you monitor the constant issues.
Rusted rockers
Water from cowl area
Delaminated tails
Single heated seat (pisses your girl off)
No illuminated entry or exit
Uncomfy seats
Lego block boost gauge
All look the same no matter the model
2.25" exhaust pisses you off knowing the Bonneville/PA/Riv got 2.50" on the SC models
Your car is confused for a Grand Am more often than properly identified.
Motor mounts that suck mouse balls.
Now..since I'm also a W body guy these days and have seen both sides.. here's a little for you guys that are always being picked on by me.
The w bodies...being updated in 97 got a lot that the other body's didn't get until 2000.
Updated electronics that have reasonable accuracy to them
Better turning radius than the larger cars
Rear disc brakes (oh..that's right)
Ok..I ran out of things.

When you mention illuminated entry/exit are you referring to the headlights being on or the interior lights? My 97 has illuminated entry/exit with the interior lights.
You know you drive a GP when your car comes with a HUD.
So to recap: GP, 1. Regal, at least 10.

My Impala SS goes from 2.5 to 2.25 at the Y pipe....stupid:th_shakinghead2:
Re: You know you drive a GP when...
dual 2.25?
If so, that might even be too big.
Re: You know you drive a GP when...
When you have already have one...
and inexplicably...
You can't help but buy another!!!
Hehehe...
Re: You know you drive a GP when...
You know you drive a GP when.....
Just about everytime the car chokes (break down, overheat, etc), the parts and possible labor put into the car cost no less than a Grand...

missed a few,
-motor placement that makes changing rear plugs nearly impossible
-a leaking lower intake manifold gasket
-everyday grocery getter hate from friends
-hating your monoleaf (for those of us with the older ones)
-trunk rust under your spoiler
Re: You know you drive a GP when...
I don't think that the rear plugs are all that bad and I'm pretty much rust free other than some on the hinges where the paint has rubbed off.
Re: You know you drive a GP when...
Rockers and Sills....what are they? Mine fell apart years ago..
Re: You know you drive a GP when...
do regals not rust?
i dont have a single rust spot on my 98, not even where the paints chipped off. and its been in NJ its whole life.
Re: You know you drive a GP when...
do they use salt where you live?
Re: You know you drive a GP when...
When warning lights don't bother you.

by the metric ton, yes we used road salt in NEW JERSEY lol
Re: You know you drive a GP when...
There's just something about the placement of the rockers or plastic that goes over them on GP's. taht causes them to rust up easier. Regals don't have that there..so we are clear.
Re: You know you drive a GP when...
when it makes a sound over bumps like a strut mount or spring is broken, so you limp it into work, put it in the air, only to find absolutely nothing wrong with the suspension whatsoever.
then you put it back down. drive it out of the shop, and now it makes absolutely no noises at all......

Re: You know you drive a GP when...
when ABS/Trac OFF lights dont bother you.
the A/C compresser or PS pump noise dont bother you.
