wow thats weird, i get like 27-29 on the highway. are u going by what that little on board comp is telling u? those are never really accurate.
You need to reset the MPG meter. If it has not been reset in a long time, it is calculating the average, so it will not go up much without a lot of constant driving.
What I do is when I am on the highway, I reset it.

well bensett, you could always just trade me gtps. i get 28 highway![]()
Mine shows my average and then shows what im getting right then and there! Its around 20-27 or when im going down a hill 99.9 or when im going up a hill 3.2!
i would say you need to pull the battery... and wait 10 mins.. then go for a drive and take it easy no gasing it. That will let the computer learn,...
I got 8mpg with some AP103... Usually i get 18-19 city without air and around 30 or so on hwy..
i have done the battery thing, and i have reset it, and thats what im going off the digital thing, i drive good, i mean once in awhile i get on it but not alot, when i went on that drive, i set the cruise at like 73....just dosent make sense, i am about to get a dhp power tuner so maybe that will help
Well, you are right, you are getting pretty low gas mileage. Consider the fact I don’t know much about your car, except the mods you listed. I’ll start off by saying, those wheels on your avatar don’t appear to be stock size. And if the tire OD is off, so will DIC mpg. Now on to some tips, because no one so far has given even one! Lol
1) New spark plugs
I’d go with AL606 plugs. Going to an unnecessarily colder plug can hurt your mpg.
2) Clean your MAF
3) Replace your O2 sensor (if your over 100K)
The accuracy of the exhaust manifold sensor O2 sensor is critical in getting good mpg.
4) Run your tire pressure about 32-33 psi
When you unplug the battery for sensor replacement/cleaning, your car will re-learn and then you should be good.
Also, since I see you just posted again. Mpg isn’t magic, it has a lot to do with plain facts. How fast are you going with how fast your engine is turning. No car gets its best mpg at 73mph, try 68mph and see what you get.![]()

I have a major vac leak, would that be causing my mpg to drop alot?
tire pressure on the tires say 51...and how do i clean the maf? also i dont think i have 02 sensors, but there is no service light, well there is but not for that, it says egr flow insuficent? what does that mean?
You can buy spray MAF cleaner in a can and clean it. Take it off the engine to clean.
Every car has O2 sensors... No code does not mean they are getting weak. You would change out the first, or front sensor.
Your EGR will also mess with things, get that fixed. You can also clean EGRs before replacing.
Your stock recommended tire pressure should be about 30psi, your tire is probably rated for 51 psi max. I have actually experimented with tire pressures a lot. In my experience 32-35psi is where y0ou want to be, but winter is upon us so 32psi better, if you plan on stopping in the snow. And besides you’ll only get about .1 mpg per 2-3 psi increase past about 32 psi in my experience. More over, not even many of the fool hyper-milers run over 50 psi. Trust me, if you like stopping your vehicle don’t go over 40 psi.
Your EGR leans out your AF ratio, that alone might be your problem. If you check engine light is on, you need to tell us! Your car most likely is running rich, in other words your using more fuel than needed. I don’t have much experience with EGRs, but I’d start by checking it for blockage. And replace it that doesn’t work. EGRs can’t cost much.
