So i'm craving a supercharger for my gt and i would love the power gains, but its my dd. If I were to top swap, how would the reliability be as a dd? that is if i did everything correctly.

If you beat the piss out of it it will break. If you are smart it will last. Also if you have a good tune will be a major factor.

lets say that I take care in making sure everything is done exactly right. would it be safe to say it would be no less reliable than a stock engine?

if its tuned well and conservative it will run for a long time. youll need transmission work after a while, but if you didnt plan for that on a powerful FWD car then youre putting your money in the wrong place.

Alright, thanks. I actually just found out about this place pretty close to me that specializes in gm vehicles and they can do a custom tune for $350. So whatever I decide to do, i definitely don't need to worry about a good tune.

350 is ridiculous unless they're going to spend about 6 or 7 straight hours on your car.

$350 is rediculous? I don't know what a good price is I guess. I emailed them and they said $350 for a full dyno tune. What would be a good price?

Depends on how long it takes, the guy I go to does awesome custom tuning for 50 an hour.

Are we talking a dyno tune or street tune for $350?
