I have these for over a year. They put out awesome light, but they've become i guess loose ( they bounce a lot )..... Still happy that i have them, I'm just going to have to make some braces.

Hey everyone, Im new on this forum, I have a 2001 Grand Prix GT Ive been working on for a while.. I recently changed my new "smoke" headlights out for some black halo projector headlights. So here in lies the question.. I had originally intended on installing an HID kit in these headlights but when the order for my Projectors came in it said right on the packaging that you are NOT supposed to use HID kits with these headlights. Is this some warranty bulls*** or are there really some specific sets of Halo projectors that do not support HID kits?

Mine came the same way, think it's just the company covering their butt if
something was to happen if you go with a 55w setup, etc. A high number (me included) have HID's in their projectors. If you want them for low's go for it...

Thanks for you response, I figured this much was true. My only question is are all you guys running "real" HID kits, like ignited kits and such with ballasts and gas charged bulbs?? or just the xenon look alike HID's? Just curious if Im safe to go with the real deals..

Any H1 HID kit will work. They are all the same. If you want a name brand DDM tunning has HID kits for $30. I use mine with a 9007 bi-xenon harness that I got from 3bspec.

Look good but they're terrible, they bounce, the light output is terrible, and they get moisture.

    Bad buy.

Eh, im tryin to find lights that are good, sorta cheapish and will put out great light.. the stock ones i have so much mositure behind them i can barely see the road, so i had to upgrade my foglights which i did half/ arsed and need to fix the mounting brackets... so i bought new bulbs with higher light for my stock ones, didnt really help because its so hazy in the inside of them.. cuz i did the outside with sum wetsand paper and stuff bought a kit, worked a lil but the inside i cant get obviously any hints?

Personally I'd go with OEMs, just keep the moisture out of them with a dryer whenever possible. I've heard you can seal them better with silicone, and then I'd buy some HID's. Plus, if you wanted HID's, you'd only have to buy one bulb since it's a dual beam in the OEMs. All the projectors go to a 4 light setup, so there are twice as many bulbs.

Before anyway disagrees, I have those Ebay projectors everyone thinks are awesome. They bounced horribly, which I made my own fix for. I actually pulled three people over one night because they thought my lights were flashing, and eventually got pulled over and hassled. The light output isn't near as good as stock, and I still get moisture in the corner areas. They're extremely difficult to get adjusted right, and mine have terrible shadows and lines in the light output. They look good in the daytime, and I like the one piece design, but beyond that they are Taiwan made junk.

Some people might have better experience...just my $.02

Thanks. I've about got mine to where they are bearable, but still I doubt they're better than OEM's with cheap HIDs. I'd probably sell mine cheap if someone wanted them, at long as I get enough to buy some new OEM style lights.
