To cut to the chase.. I have replaced the wheel bearing, didnt change the sound. Put my stock tires back on, still there. When I am driving at speeds above 30mph, I get this constant humming . when I cut the wheel to the right I am loading the wheel on the left and it gets like a pulsing/humming noise. When I turn to the left still there but not as loud. At highway speeds its quite. All other wheel bearings were replaced with timken about 5 months ago, they had play in them, but the wheel that I just replaced didnt have play. And replaced it figuring thats where the noise was coming from. I have 120k on the axles. Do you guys think it may be the axles going bad? Check boots no rips. the boots were replaced 3 years ago with upgraded boots and grease ,because they were slinging grease. The CVs checked out ok at the time. Im just a bit lost here. TIA I also posted this over at clubgp.

You SURE all the wheel bearings are in good condition?? You pretty much just described exactly what it sounds like when one goes bad.

    • To my knowledge, checked them over real well. I just replaced that side, because I thought thats where the noise was coming from, there was no movement in the bearing. the other bearings maybe have 10k on them, timken brand.

Sounds like a wheel bearing...just because its new doesnt' mean it can't go bad.

Yeah if you curbcheck real bad or hit something real hard that will throw it off.
