Hey, i need help. I performed a tune up on my 04 gtp, all i did was replaced the plugs and wire. I used the bosch plugs that has 4 prongs at the end and the box says that there is no need to gap them And autolite wires, (i believe that's the name.) I'm pretty sure i wired it correct. in the front i have 1,5,3 and the rear of the engine i have 4,2,6 in that order.
Now when i start my car up my car stutters a little bit and when i'm driving it in low rpm's it slightly jerks and when i'm at 2500 rpm's or higher the check engine light starts to blink on and off what did i screw up. I'm gonna put it on the diagnostic machine tomorrow

check to make sure the plug boots are "clicked" onto each plug and make sure the correct terminal on the coil is going to the correct plug as well

yeah, they are clicked on and the coil number and cylinder number coincides. I had o plug that fell and one of the pronges were bent but i gap it back, do u think that could be a problem. i tried playing around with the plugs i thought i could have been confused about but the car wouldn't start or it would back fire, but now it starts fine but it jerks a little

sounds like a misfire........pull the plugs and inspect for any cracks........especially on the one you dropped. If they look ok, get the code. did you bump any vac. lines while you were working on it? please double check....

    The correct way is:
    -Back-
    2-4-6

    1-3-5
    -Front-

but I'm pretty drunk right now and going from memory so someone can confirm...

It's a misfire when the CEL is flashing.

Ok, @ FoSHo u r right, that is the correct order, and also it would of helped if the lady at the parts store didn't sale me the wrong spark plugs. They were for the GP but not for those with superchargers or turbos. Now i've solved that problem but now that i've drove my car around turned it off and later tried to start it back up i didn't get nothing but tic tic tic tic tic, what could that be. I double checked the plugs and wires and my battery is good.

You don't want to use Bosch's on our cars unless your Naturally Aspirated. Get NGK's or Auto lites.

If you have no mods right now get Autolite 605's. When you start adding go fast parts get autolite 104's but don't put the 104's on until you need to.

Does the ticking sound like the starter doesn't have enough juice to get the engine to turn over? Or what tic are you talking about?

Either get it on a battery charger or jump the car to get it running again.

I'll answer that question since I'm up this early. To jump the starter, you will need to take a screw driver (or any metal object with an insulated handle) and bridge the little pin/stud on the back of the starter with the pin/stud that the power wire from the battery connects to. That will act just like you hitting the starter switch. Of course you'll need to have the ignition in the "ON" position if you want the car to run.

With it wanting to try to spin the starter, then just clicking the solenoid, that sounds like a low battery. Did you have the battery tested, or did you just check the voltage with it sitting? The battery voltage should be around 12.35V at rest and above 10V while cranking. Take it out and take it to Auto Zone and have it load-tested.

Thanks you everyone that helped out, it was my battery, even though i was getting power everywhere else around the car it was not enough to start the vehicle and it wouldn't jump either, so i put in a new battery and it started right up. Thank u all for your input.

^^ Probably not a bad idea... You can go to just about any major autoparts store and they can do this with the Alt on the car. I went to Advanced Autoparts and they did mine within 2 min and told me it was bad.
