Anyone know how to reset the ABS system on the 98 Grand Prix? We have tried to disconnect the battery completly for 15 mins+, as well as unplug the top half of the ecu, however noluck. we have also replaced both front wheel bearings, which should have corrected the problem. I dont believe the ecu is completly resetting as the radio presets are not going away. Is there anything simple im missing here?

i "thought" the abs system reset itself everytime you shut the car off, then restarts once you start the car and move it a couple feet..... it does that little test....

regardless, what made you think it was specifically your wheel bearings?

I talked to a Pontiac Mechanic, and it is correct that the ABS system reset upon so many key cycles. The ABS light is still on so we are guessing the harness wires are broke or something on one of the two front wheel bearings, as they have both been replaced and the light still is on. We had a mechanic replace both of the front wheeel bearings as they were bad, and desperatly needed replaced.
